About Dr Tania Brodovcky
I am an HPCSA-registered medical biological scientist with more than 30 years of experience in health science research, including roles as a lecturer, postgraduate supervisor, mentor, academic leader, and research manager, most recently at Stellenbosch University. These experiences have given me deep insight into the challenges faced by early-career researchers and the institutions that support them.
My passion lies in supporting researchers, especially postgraduate students and MMed candidates, who may feel inexperienced or overwhelmed, by offering practical tools to help them navigate the complexities of research with confidence.
For higher education and health research institutions, I add value by strengthening research support functions, building the capacity of research support staff, and facilitating development activities that contribute to sustainable systems for supporting researchers. I also enjoy developing online courses, hosting workshops and webinars, and designing tailored training programmes.
Beyond my professional work, I enjoy beach walks, camping, travelling, and the refreshing Karoo air.
